Under the direction of the station manager, the role includes all aspects of station work encountered

on a large cattle station which includes but is not limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:

Cattle herd management and husbandry programs including mustering, yard work, station and local market transportation.
Handling of cattle in a quiet, controlled and low stress manner.
Property infrastructure development including the construction of fencing, water reticulation systems and other farm type structures.
General maintenance to a high standard of vehicles, machinery, water systems, farm buildings, roads, fencing and yards.
Fire prevention and management programs.
Adherence to all company programs including animal health protocols and workplace health and safety programs.
Conducting all of the above tasks and responsibilities in a manner which comply with all Federal and State regulations that include but is not limited to areas such as animal welfare, workplace health and safety, labour and environmental laws.
Operation of heavy machinery including Tractors, Loaders and Graders.
