Job Description:
The Gardener is responsible for keeping the garden and surrounding areas in a presentable manner and performing general garden maintenance as required.
La Belle is located approximately 180km south west of Darwin and 82km west of Bachelor in the NT. La Belle is an aggregation of Labelle Downs and Welltree Station. It is utilised for floodplain trading as it is strategically positioned to ensure continuity of supply to AACo’s Beef Processing Facility in Darwin through both wet and dry seasons.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Carry out duties in a planned way, following work schedules, organising materials and equipment
Mow, whipper snip and water lawn areas within the station complex
Maintain fences, hedges, garden beds, sprinklers
Feed animals around the homestead
Perform routine checks on all equipment before use
Complete any maintenance as required and report any major repair needs on machinery
Maintain a tidy/clean workplace and quarters
Job Requirements:
Current Drivers Licence
Ability to work both alone and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Ability to organise/prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working under pressure
Mature and rational approach to problem-solving
Flexibility - able to meet changing requirements
