Terrick Terrick Station is an organic dorper sheep and beef operation owned by an Australian investment company. Terrick Terrick Station is one of five properties that make up the aggregation and is located 70 kilometres southwest of Blackall, in Central West Queensland.

Job Description:

The Senior Station Hand reports to the Assistant Manager and will assist with carrying out day to day station activities.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mustering sheep and cattle on motorbikes, alongside helicopters and planes.

  • Processing sheep and cattle and attending to all facets of animal husbandry.

  • General maintenance and repairs of water infrastructure, yards, and fences.

  • Maintain and operate farm machinery and equipment.

  • Maintenance and upkeep of personally assigned motorbike (CRF 250F).

  • Complete daily activities in a safe an efficient manner following site safety rules.

  • Communication with other station hands and on farm management

Job Requirements:

  • Previous sheep and cattle handling experience is an advantage.
  • Understanding of animal welfare practices.
  • Understanding or willingness to learn about low stress stock handling techniques is essential.
  • Good level of physical fitness required.
  • Experience riding a motorbike.
  • Ability to use farm equipment, including workshop equipment, vehicles, telehandler, and more.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Current manual car licence.
