Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Farm Manager to join our team at Gibson Grazing Co's feedlot and farming operation in Dalby, Queensland. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our diverse farming enterprise.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing all aspects of farm operations, including livestock management, cropping, and pasture maintenance
Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
Collaborate with the Farm Manager for planning, coordinating, and managing farm and feedlot activities
Operate and maintain farm equipment
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and feedlot accreditation regulations
Manage inventory, supplies, and farm records
Contribute to the continuous improvement of farming practices and procedures
Support farm expansion and improvement projects
Job Requirements:
Experience operating tractors and machinery
Strong understanding of sustainable farming practices and livestock management
Familiarity with modern farming techniques and machinery
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Problem-solving mindset and a keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all conditions
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A valid driver’s license
