Gullendah Pastoral Co. is a 100% family-owned business located at Baldry, in Central West NSW. The property comprises 5600 hectares and typically runs 2500 Dohne and Poll Merino stud ewes and 5000 commercial ewes as well as 450 Shorthorn and Angus cows. We cultivate approximately 1400 hectares of dryland cropping to produce wheat, barley, oats and grazing pastures.

Job Description:
We are searching for a skilled person who occupies a high level of general farming knowledge to join our progressive, family-owned business.
The Farm Hand role is an excellent opportunity to continue a career in agriculture on a progressive mixed farming business.
The job entails a high level of responsibility and growth for career progression.
Whilst livestock is part of the role, we require someone who is also mechanically minded as machine operation and maintenance will be required.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
All aspects of Sheep & Cattle husbandry (mustering, drenching, vaccination, marking, weaning)
Dryland farming for fodder, grain & hay production (spraying, planting, header operation, hay cutting, raking & baling)
Machinery operation & maintenance
Maintenance & development of fences & water systems
Job Requirements:
The position will require a suitable level of livestock knowledge and practical experience, as well as capability to operate a range of machinery to assist with sowing, spraying and harvesting.
Experience in a similar position with a high level of responsibility.
Strong stock skills – we use low stress stock handling principles.
Own working dogs.
Mechanically minded and can keep machinery and equipment in a clean and tidy manner.
Hold a current ChemCert certificate.
A truck licence is preferred but not essential.
Excellent record keeping and willingness to use technology.
A team player, be able to work well with others and work unsupervised.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Honest, reliable and mature.
Have excellent communication skills & attention to detail.
Be focused on safety for the functioning of a safe workplace.

The position is located 30km south of Yeoval, NSW with the convenience of school buses within walking distance from the homestead.
