Job Description:
As the Station Cook, you will report to the Station Manager and be responsible for menu planning, food stores management, and preparing delicious and nutritious home-style meals for our team members and visitors.
About the property:
Durham Downs Station is situated in the Channel Country of south west Queensland. The nearest towns are Thargomindah and Quilpie.
The property spans 892,791 hectares and runs approximately 17,000 head of cattle. Located on the western bank of the Cooper Creek the property is serviced by an outstation (Woomanooka) on the eastern side, which provides a good base for mustering and allows for two smaller stock camps to work independently or combine for mustering.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
In addition to your cooking riole stated above, your role also involves maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, ordering supplies, and ensuring kitchen equipment is in good order. Occasional light domestic tasks may be required.
Job Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should have demonstrated experience in cooking for small to medium-sized groups, a passion for quality food, knowledge of dietary nutrition and food hygiene practices, and the ability to work safely.
