We are currently seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, and skilled Mechanic to join our team at our state-of-the-art feeding facility near Moora, WA. This is WA’s largest feeding facility and is designed to supply Harvest Road’s processing facility, Harvey Beef.


About Koojan Downs Feeding Facility:

  • Koojan Downs feeding facility is located 30kms from Moora and 160kms north of Perth.  Koojan Downs is part of the integrated beef supply chain for Harvest Road.  This integrated beef supply chain ranges from north to southwest of Western Australia and is based on best-practice ecological planning and animal welfare management.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Feedlot Manager, you will play a key role in the operation of a busy cattle feedlot - working closely with the maintenance team (including an apprentice mechanic) to service, maintain, and repair feedlot plant and equipment, including:

  • Light vehicles.

  • Trucks.

  • Generators.

  • Earth-moving equipment.

  • Feed milling equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate – HD Diesel Mechanic/HD Diesel Fitter.

  • Current driver’s licence, with HC/MC highly regarded.

  • Strong focus on safety and quality of work.

  • Good diagnostic skills.

  • Good communication and record keeping skills.

  • Recent relevant experience working on trucks and earth moving equipment.

  • Attention to detail and independent self-starter.

  • Ability to live in a rural environment.

  • Possess adequate fitness to carry out the role.

  • Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.

  • Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia.
