Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Bore Runner to join our team at Flora Valley Station, WA.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, self-motivated individual to play a crucial role in maintaining water infrastructure for our cattle operation.
Flora Valley is our only station in Western Australia and is one of the largest in the eastern Kimberley district. It is managed in conjunction with two other leases; Gordon Downs and Nicholson Stations. The station has red basalt soils with basalt rock outcrops. Sturt Creek is the main floodway, forming a wide east-west belt through Gordon Downs. Pastures include Mitchell, Flinders grasses and Bluebush. Flora Valley runs approximately 17,000 breeders, with a total herd of over 40,000 head across 8,300 hectares.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing bores, turkey nest dams, motors, troughs, and surrounding fences.
Ensuring a reliable water supply for all stock.
Observing and reporting on general cattle and property conditions.
Job Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Ability to work independently in remote areas
Self-motivated with good observational and problem-solving skills.
Current drivers license (essential).
