Job Description:
We seek a permanent, full-time Overseer to be based at Depot, an Outstation of Rawlinna Station.
Rawlinna covers an area of 2.5million acres and is regarded as the world’s largest operating sheep station with capacity to run up to 65,000 head of Merino sheep. The property is located on the western side of the Nullarbor in WA, some 4 hours’ drive east of Kalgoorlie via the Trans-Access Road.
Depot Outstation lies 90 minutes’ drive from the main Rawlinna Homestead and is about 2.5 hours north of the Eyre Highway, housed in a picturesque bushland setting.

2IC level role, reporting to the Station Manager
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
The Depot Overseer reports directly to the Manager and holds responsibility for the southern area of the station.
Primarily, your responsibility will be towards the upkeep and maintenance of the water infrastructure while also being directly involved in the delivery of the livestock programme.
You will have the support of the Station Manager and station staff while also providing mentoring and training to junior staff as required.
Job Requirements:
The successful person will be seeking to further their own career in the agricultural industry, be a hands-on operator and able to demonstrate current experience covering all aspects of sheep farming.
Comfortable working in a team or independently is a must and you will need to be a creative problem solver.

Depot offers an outfitted workshop, operates on generator power and an RFDS approved airstrip is located nearby.
Previous farm or station experience will be highly regarded as will an appreciation for living and working in Outback Australia.
