MacLachlan Pastoral Group (MPG) was formed in 2023 and includes Wave Hill and Killarney Stations, both based in the Victoria River Region of the NT.
Wave Hill Station is located 450km South-West of Katherine in the beautiful and iconic Victoria River District of the Northern Territory. The property currently runs around 45,000 head of Brahman cattle across 2.9million acres of well developed, mixed country. The nearby township of Kalkarindji lies just 30 minutes from the station homestead.

Job Description:
Are you an adventurous person who enjoys cooking and wanting to gain experience working with cattle as well?
We seek a Station Cook/ Station Hand for a March start (TBC) to join our crew while they are camped out.
Terrific opportunity to see a large-scale cattle station during mustering season and to hone your cooking skills.
Modern camp setup.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
The Camp Cook is responsible for breakfast, lunch, dinner and smoko for the crew of about 10.
Along with the meals, you will be required to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety, be able to forward plan meals and maintain the cool room along and food inventory.
Much of your cooking will be in a modern camp setup.
Cooking takes around 70% of your work time and the remainder will be allocated to assisting the stockcamp with the cattle work as a Station Hand.
Job Requirements:
This is a great chance for someone who enjoys cooking, but keen to gain experience on the stock side of the station.
As a position primarily with the stock camp, you will need to be comfortable outdoors and with camping.
It would be preferred you had an interest in horses as we do our mustering on horseback.
