Job Description:
A vibrant proactive team is key to the success of our operation, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Station Hand to join the team at Pooginook Station & Stud.
Pooginook is centrally located to the major centres of Griffith (approx. 1hr) and Wagga Wagga (approx. 2hr) and conveniently located 14kms from Coleambally with a school bus to the front gate to preschool, primary and high school. Coleambally is a proactive community with many businesses in town along with a well-supported sporting and social culture offering a variety of activities with excellent facilities.
Pooginook Station comprises 19,656 hectares of native and irrigated grazing land formed from an aggregation of two original pastoral holdings, Pooginook and Stud Park North. Pooginook is a progressive, innovative, and leading Merino Stud in Australia, selling around 700 rams annually.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Successful applicants will work under the direction of a management team with an excellent range of skills, and a desire to see people succeed. The successful applicant will have a passion for agriculture and will need to demonstrate expertise in:
Sheep handling & mustering using 'side by side's' vehicles along with working dogs
Yard work
Basic data entry
Assist in the maintenance of all machinery
Receival, handling and storage of commodities
Maintaining accurate daily records, including data entry using Agriwebb and Farmbot.
Job Requirements:

Previous sheep experience
Own working dog/s
Good communication, attitude towards teamwork and working alone
Punctual
Willing to listen and learn
Irrigation experience desirable but not essential
