Rivbeef is located in Deniliquin, known locally as "Deni", a town in the picturesque Riverina region of NSW, close to the Victorian border.



The property is on the outskirts of Deniliquin in the Southern Riverina region of NSW, 290km north of Melbourne. Deniliquin is home to the iconic Deni Ute Muster and offers a range of exciting recreational activities such as fishing and water sports on the beautiful Edward River. Located 3½ hours from Melbourne, 45 minutes from Echuca and 2 hours from Albury

Job Description:

  • We are looking for full-time permanent Leading Hand Pen Rider to join our team to assist with all aspects of animal husbandry in an expanding environment.

  • Best suited to an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individual or couple with a sound understanding of animal treatment protocols.

  • Must have acute attention to detail and a strong understanding of the importance of record keeping.

  • Excellent communicational skills and the ability to work in a supportive, fast paced team environment are required.

  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to adapt to new circumstances in an organised manner

  • The ability to accept instruction and guidance from management.

  • A passion for beef cattle and a desire to further knowledge within the industry.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties will include:

  • Pen Riding

  • Monitoring cattle health (hospital treatments)

  • Animal husbandry

  • Cattle inductions and exits

  • Daily movement of cattle

  • Record keeping


All yard work is done in a modern undercover environment

Job Requirements:

  • Pen Riders MUST have suitable working horses and saddlery to be considered for the position

  • A driver’s licence and reliable mode of transport.

  • A 10 on, 4 off roster is implemented with the 4 days off comprising of a Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off every second week.

Job Benefits:

  • Work horses fed and shod and on the job training is provided.

  • Above award wage is available for the right applicants.
