Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA) is the peak national body for the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry. We are not-for-profit, industry funded.
The Fast Track program is designed to give people passionate about horses a solid introduction to the thoroughbred industry. It’s a great way to gain the skills and knowledge needed to start a rewarding career in the sector.

Job Description:
Get a foot in the door of Australia’s thoroughbred industry.
Work full-time on a stud farm while studying for a Certificate III in Horse Breeding – a nationally recognised qualification.
Learn from some of the best in the industry.
Great opportunity for anyone passionate about horses and looking for a career that could take them all over the world.
Farm placements are available in all states.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
12 months full-time employment on a busy stud farm.
Complete a Certificate III in Horse Breeding.
Hands-on experience with broodmares, foaling, and getting horses ready for the sales season.
Daily horse husbandry and handling.
Basic farm maintenance as needed.
Attend two intensive learning blocks (six weeks in total) in Scone, NSW, where you’ll get a mix of hands-on learning and classroom sessions.
Job Requirements:
Applicants must be 18 or older.
Must be able to live and work in Australia.
A positive attitude and great work ethic.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
Prior experience with horses is not required.
A current driver’s licence is a bonus.
