Join our dedicated team at the Roebuck Export Depot, where we handle high-quality livestock with professionalism and care. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Stockpersons (3 positions to fill), with at least 1 year experience at a live export depot to assist with the day-to-day handling and management of cattle.
The export depot is located on rich marine floodplain 30 kilometres east of Broome. With Broome on your doorstep - beautiful beaches, restaurants, and a laid-back community vibe. Broome is ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors and a strong sense of local culture. Whether you're into fishing, exploring the Kimberley’s, or simply soaking up the relaxed pace of life, Broome offers a lifestyle that's hard to match.
The facility is 30 km from Broome and has the capacity to hold over 17,000 head at any one time and is utilised by exporters and livestock agents to aggregate cattle for live export markets as well as handling transit cattle for the domestic markets. The facility operates under strict environmental and animal welfare standards and holds animal welfare in the highest regard.
Safe and efficient handling of cattle through yards and loading facilities
Monitoring livestock health and welfare
Drafting, weighing, dipping, and recording livestock data
Working collaboratively with a small, skilled team
Maintaining high animal welfare and WHS standards
Previous experience working with cattle in a yard or depot environment
Good stock handling skills and calm stock sense
Physically fit with a strong work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised when required
