Livestock Person

• Moree based Livestock Person required to work with a well renowned local Livestock Agency, in a friendly family owned business with a small & efficient team that covers an area from the New England to the Central West, and Southern QLD.

BJA Stock and Station Agents are a vibrant Stock and Station Agency in Northern NSW. Although we are based in Inverell and Moree; we consider eastern Australia our back yard. We have a dedicated and experienced team that is energetic, efficient and client focussed.

Our aim is to create an agency that put our clients first. We are a local, independent and family owned business. The BJA team led by Ben Hiscox & Keiran te Velde, have melded modern and traditional forms of agency with their combination of experience, youth and specific areas of expertise.

• Drafting in yards (on foot) of cattle, sheep and goat in preparation for multiple markets such as feedlots, abattoirs and Auctions Plus.

• Livestock and property inspections, taking images of livestock to send through to the office.

• Assisting in Auctions Plus assessments and marketing (whilst achieving on site training).

• Assisting at Stud Livestock Sale.

• Demonstrated experience in livestock handling (cattle, sheep & goats).

• Understanding of the Livestock Industry and an ability to work with producers, feedlotters and processors alike.

• Have a good work ethic, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent time management and communication skills and basic computer literacy.

• Current Drivers licence

• Highly reputable Stock Agency covering all areas of the agency business.

• Position to allow for gaining experience in a variety of livestock agency areas.

• Potential for training and study towards becoming licenced in the agency field.
