Livestock Stockman

• We’re looking for a dedicated Livestock Stockman to join our small, hardworking team. 

• This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with cattle and values safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Located in Cooma at the foothills of the pristine Snowy Mountains region, Monbeef sources stock from the region to supply quality beef to markets throughout Australia and to 26 countries around the world.

• Safely unloading cattle from trucks and assessing their condition

• Sorting and drafting cattle into designated lots

• Maintaining clean and orderly yards

• Monitoring livestock for signs of stress or illness and reporting any concerns

• Following all operational procedures and compliance requirements

• Proven livestock skills, preferably with cattle.

• A commitment to animal welfare

• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment

• Knowledge of proper handling techniques to ensure the safe and humane treatment of animals

• Ability to document information where required and read and understand written or verbal instructions as and when required

• Basic math and communication skills

• Ability to comply with all safety procedures and protocols
