As a Livestock Team Member, you will be responsible for daily livestock handling including stock movements, diagnosis of animal health symptoms, maintain accurate records of animal treatments and contributing to other areas of the team.
You’ll be working at Whyalla Beef, one of Australia’s largest and technically innovative feedlots. With a current capacity of 75,000 head. Located in the Southern Downs, 25km northwest of Texas on the Queensland / New South Wales border. The town of Texas is perched on the banks of the picturesque Dumaresq River.
Inducting, drafting, moving and dispatching cattle
Assisting with the daily care of livestock
Ensure cattle are handled using low stress livestock handling principles
Administer animal treatments
Willingness to learn
Strong work ethic and good communication skills
A team player
Previous cattle handling experience advantageous
