Station Hand

• We are currently seeking a Station Hand (Couples may apply if both willing to work) on our property 'Dynevor Downs', a 400,000 acre cattle property located near Thargomindah in SW Qld.

• Accommodation is not suitable for families, only a single or couple.

• Not suitable for 88 days WHV applicants

Gibson Grazing is a proud family owned and operated business with involvement in the beef industry for over 50 years. Their properties are located in Queensland.

• Mustering cattle using 2 wheel motorbikes

• Cattle processing

• Water maintenance (bore runs and maintenance)

• Feeding lick to cattle

• Machinery operation/servicing

• Carrying out general station maintenance and repairs – including fencing and welding and basic grounds maintenance.

• Previous experience as a Station Hand is essential

• Motorbike riding experience is essential and safe work practices 

• Competent in handling stock

• Drivers licence is preferred but not essential

• Experience with operating machinery is preferred or willing to learn how to operate.

• Honesty & reliability

• Ability to handle remote living

• Can do attitude & willingness to learn

• Competitive, above award wages

• Self contained accommodation, however it is not suitable for families

• Couples may apply if both willing to work

• Electricity, food & mobile reception
