We are looking to appoint a permanent, full-time experienced station hand to the team. Ideally, someone able to take a lead with the crew on the day-to-day station works, able to support the junior staff as they develop and support management in achieving the operational requirements of the station.

Located in the Coober Pedy/Glendambo region and west from the Stuart Highway, Mulgathing covers 530,000 hectares and runs up to 30,000 Merino sheep. Situated in 175mm rainfall country, it is well resourced with the station divided into 80 paddocks watered by 32 bores and 156km of pipeline servicing the numerous watering points. It is in close vicinity to three other Jumbuck stations, allowing for support and inter-station socialising.
Some of what you will be involved in:
Stockwork including mustering of sheep on motorbikes, yard work and processing
Management of waters including maintenance, repair and servicing of water pumping equipment including solar and windmills, pipelines, tanks, troughs and gensets
Various mechanical work including engine and small motor maintenance and servicing, fencing and general station infrastructure upkeep
Supporting development of junior staff
ESSENTIAL: Experience with sheep or livestock will be required and, as a physical job, you will need to offer sound health and fitness.

Accommodation with aircon suitable for a single person is available on-site with Starlink internet across the homestead complex.
The station is easily accessed by vehicle or alternatively by a daily Greyhound Bus Service along the nearby Stuart Highway.
