Job Description

  • The Group presently has an opportunity for a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Fitter / Mechanic to join the team at Tipperary Station, one of Australia’s renowned cattle stations, only two hours’ drive from Darwin.

  • In this role, you will be required to carry out a variety of mechanical repairs and services to a wide range of mobile plant and equipment.

Tipperary Station is located just two hours south west of Darwin, NT. It is situated east of the Daly River and south of Adelaide River, and is part of the The Tipperary Group. This comprises of Tipperary Station, Litchfield Station and Douglas West Station, and is focused on large-scale cattle backgrounding and breeding, cattle agistment, live export quarantine, broadacre cropping (cotton) fodder production, hunting and photography safaris, tourism, events and conservation.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with the team to maintain the mobile plant fleet and equipment

  • Conduct preventive and breakdown repair to a high standard

  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards

  • Carry out work in our workshop and in the field

Job Requirements

Successful applicants must have:
  • Trade certificate

  • Previously Heavy Diesel Mechanic experience

  • Current unrestricted HR Australian Drivers Licence preferred

  • Maintenance and servicing experience on small and large equipment

  • Previous experience working in planned and reactive maintenance environments, diagnosis, overhaul, and maintenance repairs of heavy mobile plant and equipment
