We are looking for a Livestock/ Farm Hand to join us on our property 40km from Emerald to carry out livestock and farming (dryland cropping) duties.
We are a family owned and operated business based in Central Highlands of Queensland, approximately 40km from Emerald.
Operating machinery - including farming machinery for dryland cropping
Driving trucks
Cattle work (including weaner processing, handling and induction) - Mustering with buggies and motorbikes only (no horses).
Regularly checking watering points
Servicing and maintaining vehicles
General housekeeping (maintaining tidy workshop and living area, etc)
Care and handling of livestock
General property maintenance (including fences, cattle yards and other infrastructure)
Taking direction and reporting to managers
Perform some routine repairs and maintenance of farm and equipment including vehicles and machinery
Homestead maintenance and gardening
Ensure general tidiness and cleanliness of the work area
Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required
The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company
Experience of Farm (dryland cropping) and Livestock Hand experience
