Looking for a long term Station Hand (3 year development, trainee would be considered) with extra focus on the above tasks/ areas.
We are willing to train up someone as long as you are committed for at least 3 years and also have some skills and interest in these areas.
Outback Beef's Yarrie Station is a 250,000-hectare rangelands property situated north of Marble Bar in Western Australia. The station is made up of the mighty De Grey River and her grass-covered floodplains with rolling hills of spinifex and acacia. With deep, mineral rich, ancient soils and breathtaking hills full of secret water holes and gorges...quite simply the station is a bloody beautiful to behold!
General mechanic duties around the station as required
Welding
Maintaining and fixing solar pumps and windmills
Operating machinery
Fencing
General repairs and maintenance
Working cattle, including mustering and yard work.
Willingness to learn is essential
Problem solving is essential
Commitment for at least 3 years
Ability to care for, work, live and in a team of people
Pitch in and help with any jobs including sweeping floors
Mechanically minded/ experience is preferred
Able to work independently
Manual Drivers licence preferred
Some welding, fencing and machine operation experience preferred
Above Award wage
Meals and accommodation provided
This is a permanent position and is NOT open to Working Holiday Visa Holders (Backpackers). Sponsorship is also NOT available.
