Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a HR & Compliance Business Partner to join our dedicated team at the Yambinya Feedlot, near Burraboi, NSW.

Reporting to the Station Manager, with functional oversight from the HR Manager at Cobram, the HR & Compliance Business Partner plays an integral role in supporting both human resources and workplace compliance functions within our feedlot operations.

This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in agricultural environments, particularly in beef and lamb production. The successful candidate will help ensure HR practices and WHS protocols are compliant, effective, and aligned with industry standards—contributing to a safe, engaged, and high-performing workforce.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Human Resources Coordination

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage recruitment and onboarding processes suited to feedlot operations.

  • HR Systems & Records: Maintain accurate and confidential HRIS and employee records.

  • Employee Relations: Promote a positive work environment through clear communication, conflict resolution, and policy support.

  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate programs to improve performance and compliance.

  • Performance Management: Support performance reviews and staff development initiatives.

Risk & Compliance Coordination

  • Safety Systems: Audit and align WHS systems and procedures to meet legal and company standards.

  • Risk Management:   Optimise current processes relating to workplace risk assessments and implement effective controls.

  • Emergency Preparedness:  Maintain and test emergency response plans with clear responsibilities.

  • Incident Management: Review incident investigations processes for accurate reporting and timely follow-up.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, WHS, or a related field

  • 3–5 years’ experience in HR and/or WHS roles, preferably in agricultural, feedlot, or manufacturing settings

  • Proficient in HRIS and WHS systems

  • Strong understanding of employment law and WHS legislation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability

  • Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience in the manufacturing sector highly regarded

  • Current valid Driver’s Licence (Class C or C-A)
