Rex Pastoral is seeking Skilled and Experienced Farm Hands or Leading Hand to join our team. We would like a self motivated, mechanically minded, experienced person/s to join our team. We are seeking a long term employee who is passionate about agriculture and can adapt skills to both farming and cattle work.
We are progressive, forward thinking company who are constantly adapting to new technologies and updating machinery and practices.
We require you to have a drivers Licence and Police Check. We look favourably on having Welding experience or training, HC Licence and Chem Cert along with First Aid and CPR qualifications, favourable but not essential. Non smoker preferred.
Rex Pastoral is a privately owned broadacre farming and grazing company based in NE of Surat, Queensland on the banks of the Balonne. We are progressive family business with both farming & grazing properties located in the parish of Noorindoo, Qld.
We have single, couple or family accommodation available. Work Utility with tools provided to each employee. We are located 35km from Surat and 110km from Roma, 250km west of Dalby. Surat has a P-10 school, hospital, pool and other facilities. Bus to Surat and Roma Schools available.
At Rex Pastoral your key tasks and responsibilities will include;
Spraying, Spray Rec completions in timely and autonomous manner, Planting both winter crop and summer crop rotations, Harvesting summer and winter crop, Dozer work, Grader work, Cattle work, Water Runs, Fencing, Mechanical work and servicing, Welding, General maintenance and other farm duties.
We require someone who works well in a team and who carries out work both autonomously and in a team environment with pride. Rex Pastoral can provide further responsibilities to the right candidate.
Highly motivated and passionate about agriculture
Able to work autonomously or in a team
Mechanically minded
Experience with machinery operation (We use predominantly JD and Greenstar)
Experience with cattle work
Good aptitude and basic skills
Welding experience
Pride of work, neat and tidy
Police Check
Drivers Licence
