Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, experienced and well organised full time Station Hand to join our team at our Warrane property, 25kms north west of Armidale, NSW. Warrane runs up to 2,500 commercial Ultrablack and Angus breeders and 400 trade cattle over 20,000 acres.

This is a permanent, full time position and would suit someone wanting to settle down and grow their career.

This role will be based at our Warrane property, 25kms north west of Armidale, NSW.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

We require a full time motivated station / farm hand who is willing to turn their hand to a variety of livestock and farm work.

Your role will include:

  1. All aspects of livestock management in a commercial operation including cattle handling and husbandry, branding and processing cattle

  2. A commitment to safe work practices and animal welfare

  3. Operating and maintaining farm vehicles and equipment

  4. Rotational grazing and pasture management

  5. General farm duties

Job Requirements

We require an excellent team player with a can-do attitude who really loves working with cattle in a calm and confident manner. 

You need to be:

  • Observant and able to complete tasks to a high standard with attention to detail

  • A good communicator who can work in a team or on your own

  • Organised and tidy

  • Fit, healthy and willing to learn

  • Licenced to drive a manual car and have your own transport
