Located in the vicinity of Richmond North Queensland, this remote cattle station is home to a tight-knit team with a strong focus on culture, respect, and communication. This role is pivotal to the station, reporting directly to the Station Manager. As the station Cook & Domestic, you will nourish and care for the crew, ensuring smooth daily operations while managing domestic tasks, animal care, and assisting with butchering and food stock management.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily meals for 15+ people including breakfast, smoko, and dinner, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

  • Perform household duties across two houses: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, bathrooms, and vehicles.

  • Carry out gardening and property maintenance tasks including mowing, raking, pruning, watering, spraying, rolling the tennis court, and managing lawn sprinklers.

  • Assist with food stocktake, ordering, and butchering, while caring for small animals (poddies, birds, Maremma).

Job Requirements

  • Cooking experience, ideally in a remote station environment.

  • Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and good communication skills.

  • Commitment to a full-year role; reliability is essential for crew wellbeing.

  • Open-minded, willing to learn, and able to maintain high standards in both cooking and domestic duties.

  • Driver’s license desirable but not essential.
