Located in the vicinity of Richmond North Queensland, this remote cattle station is home to a tight-knit team with a strong focus on culture, respect, and communication. This role is pivotal to the station, reporting directly to the Station Manager. As the station Cook & Domestic, you will nourish and care for the crew, ensuring smooth daily operations while managing domestic tasks, animal care, and assisting with butchering and food stock management.
Prepare daily meals for 15+ people including breakfast, smoko, and dinner, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Perform household duties across two houses: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, bathrooms, and vehicles.
Carry out gardening and property maintenance tasks including mowing, raking, pruning, watering, spraying, rolling the tennis court, and managing lawn sprinklers.
Assist with food stocktake, ordering, and butchering, while caring for small animals (poddies, birds, Maremma).
Cooking experience, ideally in a remote station environment.
Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and good communication skills.
Commitment to a full-year role; reliability is essential for crew wellbeing.
Open-minded, willing to learn, and able to maintain high standards in both cooking and domestic duties.
Driver’s license desirable but not essential.
Above-award day rate (less tax) plus superannuation.
