Paspaley Pastoral's Kurrajong Park consolidates approximately 18,000 hectares of prime agricultural land on the southern edge of the Liverpool Plains Region of NSW. The farm operations include beef and sheep production as well as winter and summer dryland cropping. Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • To assist in all livestock husbandry including drenching, mustering, crutching, lamb marking, calf marking, feeding and all other cattle and sheep handling procedures

  • To supervise other members of staff to ensure OH&S work practices are followed and animals are treated humanely

  • Maintain accurate records on husbandry and stock numbers utilising farm management software including Agriwebb an Gallegher Animal Performance Software

  • Assist the livestock manager in planning weekly operations factoring in forecast weather events & livestock tasks

  • Maintain your own team of capable working dogs

  • General farm maintenance to plant property and equipment

  • Other duties as directed

Job Requirements

  • 4-5 years’ experience in a stockperson’s or livestock overseer’s role

  • You will have strong observation and communication skills

  • Your own team of capable working dogs

  • A positive attitude with the ability to work both individually and as a part of a team

  • HR drivers licence preferred but not essential
