We are seeking a motivated, reliable and hands-on Station Hand to join our team in North West Queensland. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work across a range of cattle operations and station activities.
As part of a supportive and energetic team, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of the property, contributing to the health, welfare and smooth management of our livestock and station infrastructure. The role suits someone who enjoys practical, outdoor work, takes pride in doing a job well, and is looking to build a long-term future in the beef industry. You’ll have the chance to develop new skills, take on responsibility, and gain experience across a diverse range of station tasks in a positive, family-oriented environment.
Kalda Station is located 100km North of Richmond QLD and is one of our breeder stations. Managed by two young and capable overseers, we are looking for a Station Hand to support them in everyday operations.

Assist with mustering, processing, handling of livestock;
Routine monitoring of livestock and pastures;
Regular lick and water runs;
Station infrastructure maintenance and repairs (waters, fencing, yards);
Maintenance of station vehicles, machinery and motorbikes;
Keeping accommodation clean and tidy;
Minimum 1 year experience with livestock is preferred;
Able to confidently ride 2-wheeler motorbike;
Reliable, honest and practical individual;
Manual drivers licence and own vehicle
Interested in committing to the beef industry and role long-term;
Competitive remuneration package. Based on experience & skill;
Very comfortable private house for accomodation, 100km North of Richmond;
Delicious meals, internet and electricity provided;
Working alongside two station overseers.
Monday - Friday work week. 4 weeks annual leave. Time in lieu accrued for overtime.
