Join Rio Tinto’s iconic pastoral stations – Hamersley, Rocklea, and Juna Downs – covering approximately 770,000 hectares in the heart of Western Australia’s breathtaking Pilbara region. These stations are near Tom Price, Paraburdoo, and Newman, nestled around Karijini National Park and just a few hours from the coast at Karratha.
In this role, you’ll be hands-on with a variety of station activities.
You’ll take part in mustering and processing livestock using vehicles and motorbikes, while also carrying out regular inspections and maintenance of station infrastructure such as fencing, gates, and water troughs.
Additionally, you’ll operate and maintain machinery and equipment safely to support sustainable land management.
We welcome station hands and those keen to learn. To succeed, you’ll need:
A Safety-first mindset and a genuine willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Full current driver’s license
Able to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
Desirable (but not essential):
Skills in mustering and cattle handling
Experience with 4WDs, motorbikes, trucks, loaders, bobcat, graders and forklifts
Strong pipeline of upcoming / ongoing work
Very competitive rates
