We are looking for a Feed Mill Hand to join our team at our Wonga Plains Feedlot.
The Feed Mill Hand is responsible for the daily operation of feed trucks to deliver precise rations to cattle across the feedlot. This role ensures timely and accurate feed delivery in accordance with nutritional plans, while maintaining high standards of animal welfare and adhering to WHS protocols. The Feeding Hand also performs routine equipment checks and supports general feedlot operations as required.
This position will be based at our Wonga Plains Feedlot, located 15 minutes from Bowenville QLD.
Batch, load and deliver feed on time and accurately.
Undertake the delivery, storage and use of commodities on a daily basis.
Ensure bunks are clean and suitable for feed delivery and fix as needed.
Conduct regular cleaning of site and machinery.
Daily check and reporting of machinery function and conduct general maintenance where necessary.
As required, complete Slick Call.
As required, monitor and manage the water system.
Open to training and feedback, with a positive attitude.
Works well with others and communicates effectively.
Comfortable with routine and changes in daily tasks or conditions.
Takes pride in doing a job well and being a team player.
Strong attention to detail when completing tasks.
Past experience in Agriculture is appreciated but not compulsory.
Full-time, permanent position with a 10-day-on, 4-day off roster.
Hourly rate role with a minimum 90-hour fortnight, with additional hours as required.
