This is a hands-on, versatile role for an experienced and reliable operator who enjoys variety and takes pride in doing things properly.
As a Feedlot All-Rounder, you’ll work across all areas of the feedlot operation and play a key role in day-to-day productivity, animal care, and site upkeep. This is a long-term opportunity within a growing, family-run business for someone who wants stability, respect, and a strong work–life balance in a regional community.
We are specifically seeking local candidates, or people currently working away who are ready to return home and commit long term. FIFO and backpacker-style applicants will not be considered.
Pay rates will be negotiated based on prior skills and experience.
Currently operating a ~6000 head cattle feedlot supported by 1800 acres of backgrounding and cropping country, we are a 3rd generation feedlot family focused on the growth of our business and the people within it.
Feed truck operation and feedmill duties
Livestock handling and general cattle work
Pen cleaning, manure handling, and irrigation activities
General feedlot and machinery maintenance
Basic construction, repair, and upkeep tasks
Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently
Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant work environment
Communicating clearly with supervisors and team members
Proven experience in agricultural, feedlot, livestock, or similar operational roles
Strong capability in feed truck and feedmill operation
Experience with livestock handling and animal welfare practices
Practical maintenance skills; trade, building, or construction background highly regarded
MC truck licence highly desirable
Strong organisational skills and the ability to self-manage
Clear, respectful communication and a team-focused mindset

With the feedlot currently built to 3125 SCU and backgrounding capacity for 1600 head in bunk fed paddocks, feedlot expansion has commenced to grow to 6425 SCU over the next 2 years.
