This sequence of shots by Jane Taylor were taken on Wandagee Station in the upper Gascoyne region of WA in late October, 2022... Jane describes the scene...
"He's a cleanskin (and an impressive one at that) who had evaded us the last couple of musters, though he had been recently spotted on mill runs so we were hoping this would be the day we got him! It was only a small muster, maybe 150 animals.

The chopper managed to find him and bring him in with no real problems. It all went relatively smoothly... until it came to drafting the mob. He had a bit of an attitude, so while the rest of us sat on the other side of the rails, Manager Rohan and chopper pilot Griff jumped in to push the mob up. He originally just wanted out, but after a failed escape attempt (see the bent top rail in top right hand corner) his attention turned to the boys and they began a game of 'chasey'!

He learned pretty quickly that the boys meant business, so it didn't take too long to get him through the yards and onto the truck. Though he did try his luck every so often with a sneaky charge at the rails while backs were turned. He certainly wasn't one to be trusted, especially with the rails becoming lower the further through the yards he went.
We got him trucked out to another set of yards for marking before sending him to our other property just down the road, where he'll be hanging around for a little while yet.

It was smiles all round as we watched him disappear into the dust - Rohan and Griff were both high on life and the rest of us got a thrilling show to talk about and photograph!"
