As a Production Worker at Akubra, you will play an important hands-on role in manufacturing one of Australia’s most iconic products. Working alongside an experienced team of skilled craftspeople, you will learn processes and techniques that have been passed down through generations. You will contribute to different stages of the hat-making process, helping transform raw materials into the finished Akubra hats known and trusted across Australia. Multiple opportunities are available across the Kempsey facility, with each position contributing to the production of Akubra’s iconic Australian hats. No previous manufacturing experience is required, with full training provided. What matters most is that you are willing to learn, work as part of a team and take pride in producing quality work.

Expressions of Interest are now open for LEADAg Pathways Certificate II in Rural Operations.  Open to eligible school leavers and adults, currently residing in Queensland, looking to build a pathway into agriculture.  Starting 23 November 2026 , LEADAg Pathways is a six-month, employment-focused program designed to help people gain the practical skills, workplace experience and nationally recognised training needed to step confidently into the agricultural workforce. If you’re looking to enter agriculture, change careers, return to the workforce or gain the practical experience needed to secure your first rural job, LEADAg Pathways could be for you. You’ll work towards a nationally recognised Certificate II in Rural Operations through Martyr Training (RTO No. 31279) while gaining practical experience in real agricultural workplaces.
