Yadlamalka Pastoral Company  - Flinders Ranges South Australia

With a heritage stretching back to the 1890s, Yadlamalka Pastoral Company stands as a premier name in South Australian agriculture. Owned and operated by the Doman family, Yadlamalka Pastoral represents deep-rooted pastoral tradition and forward-thinking, sustainable land management.

Yadlamalka Pastoral has evolved into one of the region’s most dynamic agricultural enterprises, managing a portfolio of approximately 350,000 hectares in the heart of the Flinders Ranges and Far North. Our operations span a contiguous corridor of premium grazing country, anchored by four cornerstone South Australian stations.

Yadlamalka Station, (100,000 ha) The company’s foundational hub, blending a century of pastoral heritage with modern innovation north of Port Augusta.
Beltana Station, (154,100 ha): A historic jewel of the Flinders Ranges, known for its cinematic landscapes and deep ties to Australian exploration.
Wilkatana Station (44,696 ha): Prized for its exceptional water security and semi-open myall shrubland, ideal for hardy livestock.
Lake Torrens Station.( 43,300 ha): located northwest of Hawker. Established in 1854, it offers incredible geographic diversity with rich coverage of saltbush and native grasses.
Together, these properties form a vast, corridor of high-quality grazing land dedicated to producing Australia’s finest livestock.
Our Commitment to Quality
At Yadlamalka, we focus on a "quality-first" approach to arid-land farming. Our production focus includes:
  • Superior Livestock: We specialise in hardy, high-yield Dorper sheep and premium Angus cattle, specifically bred to thrive in the unique conditions of the South Australian Arid Lands.
  • Infrastructural Integrity: A station is only as good as its water and fencing. Our properties feature state-of-the-art water systems and modern infrastructure, ensuring the welfare of our stock and the efficiency of our operations even in the driest seasons.
  • Environmental Stewardship: We practice conservative grazing and regenerative land management. We don't just farm the land; we protect it for the next century.
A Vision for the Future
Yadlamalka Pastoral is more than just a grazing enterprise; integrating traditional pastoralism with modern technology and a commitment to the local community, a 21st-century Australian station.
