KD Rural was established in 2010, it is a family run and owned business that is based between two cattle stations in the Mataranka region and have a trucking depot in Katherine of the Northern Territory.

KD Rural offer livestock, lick and hay cartage around the NT with some jobs taking us into QLD, SA and WA. We take pride in the fleet we have grown over the years and hope to continue to keep growing.

KD Rural also offer labour hire stock staff for stations in the area needing a hand to muster, process cattle and fence.

KD Rural is seeking a station mechanic to join our team for 2026. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a wide range of station vehicles and equipment including: Toyota Landcruiser's Motorbikes Machinery including graders, loaders, tractors and generators Kenworth Trucks Cattle Crates & Flat Top Trailers Being able to work independently and problem-solve in a remote setting is crucial. Having good knowledge of preventative maintenance and repairs is a plus and having a good work ethic and being reliable is a must.  KD Rural offer competitive pay, single accommodation and an opportunity to work in a varied, hands-on role in a family run operation.
