RV Pastoral is a progressive, family-owned enterprise located 90km north-west of Rockhampton in Central Queensland.  Operating across four properties, the business encompasses a leading Brahman seedstock operation, a cattle trading enterprise, and approximately 1,000 hectares of annual cropping.

With more than 30 years of BREEDPLAN performance recording and data-driven breeding decisions, RV Pastoral supplies large drafts of productive, predictable, high-performing Brahman bulls across Northern Australia. Practical stockmanship, precision and attention to detail underpin every aspect of the operation.

RV Pastoral is a small, close-knit team where every person plays an important role. This is not a business where jobs are divided between large crews or where people become just another number. Team members are involved across all areas of the operation, take ownership of their work, and are trusted to think ahead, use initiative and contribute to the continual improvement of the business.

This is not a "turn and burn" operation. The integrity of the breeding program is built on attention to detail, precision and consistency. Every job is done with purpose—from cattle handling and data collection to machinery operation, fencing and property maintenance. Hard work, efficiency and doing things properly the first time are the standards expected every day.

We require a Leading Hand to join the team! This is a permanent role on a progressive Brahman breeding & trading operation in Central QLD. You'll be working directly with the owner-operator and will need to be capable, reliable, and able to think on your feet. We’re after someone who doesn’t need a list — someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it.
