Pardoo Station have an opportunity, for a Bore Runner/ Gardener to start immediately.
We are looking for a person with livestock water supply knowledge, who is self-motivated, have a good work ethic, ability to work solo with attention to detail and who is looking for a long-term position within a great team.
Bore-runs are done 2-3 days a week and gardens are attended to between.
The rangeland bores are a combination of artisan and solar.
Pardoo Station is about 160km north of Port Hedland in the Pilbara Western Australia.
Duties include physically checking all livestock watering points on bore runs.
Must have a current valid driver’s licence and 4x4 driving experience and ability.
Maintain a tidy and orderly bore shed.
General maintenance of the bore vehicle and equipment.
Clean troughs.
Ensure enough bore and water supplies are kept on hand.
Ability to repair water lines if needed.
Mow and whipper snip homestead lawns.
Maintain and improve garden reticulation.
Improve garden beds, development of landscaping and upgrading as required.
Daily homestead rubbish run.
Must have ability to work on your own, and as part of the team, with a focus on completing your quality work safely.
Have good English, communication and teamwork skills.
Have a positive attitude towards safe working culture.
Experience
Basic mechanical experience preferred/ operating small motors etc (The rangeland bores are a combination of artisan and solar).
Essential requirements
Motor vehicle licence (Class C) - manual preferred
Ability to work without supervision
Basic problem-solving abilities
