Millungera Station is accepting applicants for experienced Station Hand positions for the 2026 season. 

Please note: 

• No Pets

• Not open to WHV/ Overseas applicants as it is a full time role.

• All positions are to fill for the men’s quarters in a large stock camp.

Millungera Station, located about 144 kilometres north east of Cloncurry, is a massive, historic 342,000-hectare beef cattle property in northwest Queensland, Australia, known for its large herd (around 50,000) and significant water resources from the Flinders and Saxby Rivers.

After operating for over 160 years, it was recently sold by the Acton family in late 2025 to the Hughes family (Georgina Pastoral Co), marking a significant corporate-scale land transaction in Australia's beef industry. 

• Perform cattle handling duties such as mustering on horses - processing cattle in yards including drafting, dipping, branding, earmarking, mothering, weaning, castrating, weighing

• Carry out station repairs and maintenance (e.g. yards, fences, water equipment, roads and quarters).

• Maintain water supply (e.g. water troughs and bores).

• Undertake domestic duties e.g. butchering/cleaning vehicles and maintaining equipment

Essential criteria:

• Must have previous experience mustering cattle on horseback

• Must have previous experience working as a Station Hand

• Must love the outdoors, be energetic, and be able to work independently as well as with others, joining a great friendly team.

• Drivers licence

• Accommodation (single only) with air-conditioning and Wi-Fi
