Mainoru station is seeking to fill positions available in the stockcamp & contract mustering/fencing camp for the 2026 season.
Experience with horses is essential.
You will be camping out in swags when mustering
Mainoru Station is family owned and located about 250km north east of Katherine on the border of Arnhem Land, NT.
Work on the station includes buffalo catching, running yards, coacher mustering, fencing, running lick, ect.
Contracting involves mustering and fencing on various stations across the territory and camping in swags.
Experience with horses and cattle is highly recommended, skills such as basic mechanics and welding will be advantageous.
Experience riding and training horses will be favourable as most mustering is done with the use of horses.
Cattle won’t be easy to handle with plenty of cleanskins and would recommend having experience in the industry (especially mustering and handling cattle).

The season typically goes from March until early/mid November.
The station also competes in rodeos and campdrafts throughout the year.

This position is not open to WHVs or overseas applicants as it is a full time role, sponsorship is also not available for this role.
