In this role, you will work as part of a team to ensure the health, welfare, and efficient handling of cattle within our feedlot. We’ve recently added new state-of-the art cattle feedings sheds, brand-new milling facilities, and new stables for stock horses - creating an environment where our people and animals can thrive.

Jindalee Feedlot is located in the Riverina NSW, 2 hours from Canberra and 1 hour north from Wagga Wagga. This modern 18,000 head facility serves a key role in the Teys Australia supply chain producing quality beef for both domestic and export markets.
Animal health and welfare – including daily cattle monitoring
Cattle handling and movement –safely and with low-stress handling techniques
Feedlot operations support – assisting with pen maintenance
Compliance and Safety – adhering to Teys’ animal welfare policies
Team collaboration – work closely with your team to contribute to continuous improvement on site.
We are looking for a new team member with the following skills and attributes:
Strong horsemanship and cattle handling skills.
Minimum two horses (Hendra vaccinated) and riding gear (allowances for upkeep)
Knowledge of animal health, husbandry and welfare practices.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Good communication and record-keeping skills.
Commitment to teamwork and safety (including Q-Fever vaccination).
Attractive hourly rate starting from $30 p/hour + Super + $25 horse allowance per day for 2 horses
