Old Banchory Pastoral is a progressive agricultural business operating at Old Banchory Station, a 36,000-acre beef cattle property located 62km south-west of Clermont.

Our operation is built around a strong focus on low-stress livestock handling, ensuring the wellbeing of our cattle while maintaining efficient and sustainable production practices.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

This is a hands-on position requiring a proactive approach, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Livestock handling and animal husbandry

  • Mustering and stock movement on motorbikes

  • Monitoring livestock health and welfare

  • Fencing, repairs, and maintenance

  • Routine fence checks and property inspections

  • Weed identification and management

  • General farm and station maintenance

  • Operating farm vehicles and equipment

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar station hand or agricultural role (essential)

  • Practical knowledge of livestock handling and animal husbandry

  • Confident motorbike rider for mustering and stock work

  • Experience with fencing, repairs, and general property maintenance

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Good communication skills and positive attitude

  • Commitment to workplace safety and animal welfare
