R22 Helicopter Pilot | QLD

We are currently seeking a competent and motivated R22 Helicopter Pilot on a full-time basis to assist with station operations across our properties. This role will primarily support livestock management activities from the air and work closely with station managers and ground crews to ensure the efficient running of our cattle operations.

This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a practical cattle station environment and is looking to play an important role in the day-to-day management of a large-scale Wagyu operation.

K Spur Pastoral Co is a family-owned and operated business focused on the production and export of high-quality Wagyu cattle. With five properties operating across northern and southern Queensland, we continue to grow and develop our operations and are always seeking enthusiastic and motivated people to join our team.

Working alongside station management and ground crews, the successful applicant will be involved in a range of aerial livestock management activities across the property.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:-

• Aerial mustering of cattle;

• Locating and monitoring livestock across large paddocks;

• Assisting with mustering operations alongside ground crews;

• Monitoring water points, fences and general property infrastructure;

• Assisting with feral animal control where required; and

• Supporting property management by completing day-to-day tasks where necessary.

• Commercial Helicopter Licence (CPL-H, PPL-H);

• Previous aerial mustering experience preferred;

• Strong livestock awareness and understanding of cattle behaviour;

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude;

• Mechanical awareness and the ability to care for aircraft in remote environments; and

• A commitment to maintaining safe and professional aviation operations.

Experience operating in a cattle mustering environment will be highly regarded, along with an understanding of the coordination required between aerial and ground crews during large-scale musters.
