There is currently a role open for a Senior Station hand/Leading Hand to join our cattle operation in the Far North of South Australia.
This is the ideal position for those who have completed 2 or more years of station hand work and are eager to take the next step.
You will be based on our cattle station in the Far North of South Australia.
This role will have you working directly under on property management.
This is a hands on working and leadership role, leading a small team, responsible for day to day operations, both under guidance and independently.
Mustering on 2-wheel motorbikes with aerial support
Processing cattle (Marking calves and weaners with cradle and crush)
Livestock Feeding
Station Plant Upkeep
Station infrastructure Upkeep
This role offers genuine leadership development in a practical environment, with opportunities to expand skills with the following:
Additional heavy machinery qualifications:
Truck Driving Endorsements
Livestock handling
Design and construction of various infrastructure (Yards, Pipelines, Roads etc)
The applicant must adhere to the following standards
Clean, motivated and reliable
Able to think and problem solve independently
Comfortable leading others and remaining hands on
