You will be cooking for contract mustering/ yard building staff at remote locations throughout the Pilbara & Kimberley, WA.
Based at Debesa Station in the West Kimberley, Kurt Finger's Savannah Contracting provide a range of rural services including bull catching, mustering, yard building and fencing.
You will be assisting with the cooking and preparing of food for a crew of 8 to 10 people and be required to help on mustering days.
You will be required to provide a cooked breakfast; Station Hand will pack and prepare smoko and lunch for the day; and then you will provide a cooked dinner - so you will need prepare 2 x cooked meals per day.
Between breakfast and dinner preparations you can assist with mustering when required, and you may be required to assist Station Hands by putting on clothes washing/ hanging laundry only when required (i.e. long days when Station Hands cannot do themselves).
Stock camp has camp kitchen with stove, BBQ, hot water etc.
Have experience cooking for a small team
Must be neat, tidy and must display good hygiene.
You must be prepared to work long hours and work in remote areas for long periods of time.
Have a happy demeanour and enjoy cooking
Good camp facilities with Star Link.
Hot Showers and Laundry facilities (washing machine) are included in the mobile camp.
Meals
This position is open to WHV applicants and couples - i.e. Cook/ Station Hand
These are permanent positions and not available to Working Holiday Visa Holders (Backpackers). Applications will not be considered from WHV or Overseas applicants.
