We are currently seeking another positive, energetic, full-time employee to join us long term. The successful applicant will be a self-starter and required to work independently and with a team when required.

8PK Cattle Company is a family-owned breeding and backgrounding business, located in Central Queensland.
We are situated 25 minutes from the township of Middlemount. Approximately 180km from Emerald, 200km from Mackay, and 300km from Rockhampton. The properties run approximatley 4000 head of cattle with a mixture of breeding and backgrounding.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
Driving, maintaining and operating farm vehicles and machinery
Low stress stock handling
Animal husbandry
Mustering with motorbikes/horses
General farm repairs and maintenance
Water and supplement runs
Maintaining current fence lines and erecting new fences
Use of chemicals
Water infrastructure maintenance and repairs (including solar and bores)
Clean, tidy sober habits
Ability to work in a team environment and alone
Take pride in themselves and their work
Clear communication skills
Good time management skills
Have sound mechanical skills or an eagerness to learn
A forward thinker (Ability to think ahead and outside the box)
Passionate about working on the land
Respectful and positive attitude
Ability to adapt to change
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the industry is required
Current HR truck licence or willingness to obtain
Current manual drivers licence
