Job Description

CCPC operate a remote station in South-West Queensland and are looking for an experienced and versatile Machinery Operator to join the team as soon as possible.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical background, a genuine willingness to pitch in wherever needed, and the kind of practical attitude that remote station life demands.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

The Role

You'll be responsible for the operation and upkeep of station machinery and plant, with work varying across the seasons. When machinery work eases off, you'll be able to lend a hand across other station duties.

  • Operating graders, loaders, and dozers for road, track, and earthworks maintenance

  • Operating and maintaining other station plant and machinery as required

  • Basic mechanical repairs and servicing to keep equipment running reliably

  • General station maintenance as required 

  • Looking after tools, equipment, and machinery to a high standard

Job Requirements

  • Experience operating graders, loaders, and/or dozers

  • A mechanical background or strong mechanical aptitude is preferred — happy to troubleshoot and carry out running repairs

  • A flexible, willing attitude — happy to help wherever the job takes you

  • Comfortable with remote station living and the self-reliance it requires

  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team

  • Previous station or rural experience is well regarded but not essential if you've got the right attitude, operational and mechanical skills

  • A current driver's licence; relevant machinery tickets or experience highly regarded
