An opportunity exists within our Maintenance Team as a Groundskeeper in a Permanent Part Time Role reporting to the Feedlot Manager.

As a Groundskeeper you are responsible for grounds maintenance and enhancing of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, clean and visually appealing.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

As a Groundskeeper you will have a varied day including:

  • Lawns and Plant Care: Mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, watering, soil conditioning, mulching, and pruning trees, shrubs, and plants. Planting seasonal flowers or greenery and maintaining overall garden health

  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

Using hand tools, power tools and machinery such as mowers, trimmers and blowers and performing routine maintenance of tools

  • Water Systems:

Inspecting and maintaining sprinkler systems, managing water distribution for lawns and gardens

  • Pest and Weed Control:

Applying pesticides, herbicides and other treatments safely; implementing integrated pest management to protect plants

  • Property Upkeep:

Cleaning outdoors areas, removing trash and debris, maintain signage, benches, pathways and other fixtures

  • Repairs and Minor Construction:

Performing minor repairs on fences, gates, walkways, sheds and other structures

  • Safety and Hazard Management:

Inspecting grounds regularly for hazards ensuring areas are safe and removing hazards

Job Requirements
