Feed Operator | QLD

We are currently seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Feed Operator to join our team.

This role is suited to an individual who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards in feed preparation and machinery operation.

Taylors Plains is an 84,000-acre cattle property located approximately 100 kilometres north of Mungallala, Queensland.

The property operates a Wagyu stud and feeds commercial Wagyu weaners.

• Mixing and feeding cattle daily in pens

• Manage feed commodities to ensure timely delivery and preserve product quality

• Complete routine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs

• Ensure all feedmill and grain receival areas are clean, safe, and well-presented

• Support ongoing improvements in feed preparation and delivery processes.

• Previous experience feeding cattle in pens & operating a feed mixer truck and JCB loader.

• Enjoys feeding cattle & the repetitive work involved. Also has good animal welfare knowledge and hygiene.

• Mechanically minded with the ability to carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting

• Strong attention to detail with sound record-keeping and time management skills

• A proactive team player with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards
