Job Description

Paringa Gold Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic Station Hand to join our team near Dysart in Central Queensland.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with cattle, operating machinery and working outdoors as part of a practical team.

The successful applicant will be involved in the day-to-day running of the property and livestock operations.

You will be based on our cattle property near Dysart in Central Queensland.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cattle handling, yard work and livestock husbandry

  • Mustering and moving cattle, including the use of quad bikes

  • Feeding and watering livestock

  • Assisting with cattle induction and general stock work

  • Fencing, yards, waters and general property maintenance

  • Operating tractors, vehicles and other farm machinery

  • General cleaning and upkeep of equipment and facilities

  • Assisting the team with day-to-day feedlot and property operations

  • Following workplace health, safety and animal welfare procedures

  • Other general station duties as required

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive and willing attitude

  • Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

  • Has a genuine interest in cattle and rural operations

  • Can work independently as well as part of a team

  • Has good communication skills and takes pride in their work

  • Is reliable, punctual and safety conscious

  • Has a current driver's licence

  • Has experience with cattle, machinery or station work — preferred but not essential

  • Is willing to learn and take on new responsibilities

Experience operating quad bikes, tractors and other agricultural machinery will be highly regarded.
