We have a permanent position available for an experienced Station Hand to join our small team.
We are seeking an energetic person with a passion for agriculture.
We are a family-owned commercial wagyu breeding operation based south of Condamine. We operate over several properties, and the role requires travel between those properties.
We embrace technology and efficiency.
The role involves, but is not limited to:
Carrying out animal husbandry duties – muster, draft, brand, treat, truck and receive cattle in a quiet and low stress manner.
Educate and handle weaners.
Maintain and replace existing fences.
Maintain and improve watering systems.
Carry out regrowth control.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is neat and tidy and passionate about agriculture.
The applicant must have:
A strong safety focus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong interest in pasture and grazing management.
Excellent livestock handling skills.
Basic mechanical and welding skills.
A willingness to travel between properties.
Fencing experience.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
